Isla de Cano snorkeling and diving
This is the most beautiful diving and snorkeling in
Costa Rica, in the waters of Isla del Caño National Park, near Corcovado. Oceans Unlimited is the only local tour operator offering this unique trip to what has been described as a mini Cocos Island. We offer an exhilarating and safe passage to this unspoiled paradise. The journey takes about 2 hours* and along the way we can spot Pan Tropical Dolphins, Rays and Sea Turtles. When we arrive, abundant resident sea life surround you, giant schools of pelagic fish, Barracuda, Trevelly Jacks and Pompano, white tip reef sharks and rays,. Visibility in this area often exceeds 80 feet.
Isla del Cao trip information:
Trip departs at 7am and returns at approximately 4pm normally from the region around Sierpe or Uvita (30 minutes drive from the house). You should ask for a 2 motor boat as it is much much safer. And check that the boatsmen has got a radio working on board.

MARENCO ROCK
Depth: 50-60 feet
Skill level: Intermediate
Closest site to the mainland. Black corals, snappers, grunts, occasional big jelly fish (non-stinging) float by.
CAMPANARIO (Bell Tower)
Depth: 40 feet
Skill level: Beginner-Intermediate
Close to Corcovado National Park, this site is a set of pinnacles filled with schools of fish. Rocks are sedimentary which houses lobsters regularly. Horseye jacks, barracudas, grunts, snappers, and rooster fish greet divers.
